Classic Banana Oatmeal


Banana Oatmeal for Two

In a medium saucepan over medium heat add the following:

  • 2/3 cup oats
  • 2/3 cup 1% milk
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 banana, sliced

Stir for 6-8 minutes, until it begins to thicken. When there is approximately 1 minute left of cooking stir in the following ingredients:

  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tsp ground flax seed
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar

Additions of flax, cinnamon, vanilla and brown sugar.

Pour into breakfast bowls and top each with the following:

  • 1 Tbsp granola
  • 1 Tbsp natural peanut butter
