Drop Biscuits
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
*Increase the sugar to 3 Tablespoons and add 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, optional, if you want to make Regatta‘s version.
Preheat oven to 375°. In a large bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Add cream; stir just until moistened.Drop by 1/4 cupfuls 1 inch apart onto greased baking sheets or cast iron pan (ok if touch a bit). Bake until bottoms are golden brown, 17-20 minutes. Serve warm.
