- Mix until fully combined and creamy.
- Add milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, until the desired consistency is reached.
- Fold in the chopped green onions, if using.
Serve Cold
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight, to allow the flavors to develop.

Serve Warm

- Alternatively, transfer to a slow cooker and warm on low for parties or gatherings, stirring occasionally.

- Crackers
- Tortilla chips
- Bagel chips
- Celery and carrot sticks
- Sliced bell peppers
- Cucumber slices
Make Ahead
- Prepare up to 2 days ahead and refrigerate.
- For best flavor, allow the dip to chill for several hours before serving.
- If serving warm, assemble ahead and heat just before guests arrive.
Storage
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
Reheating
Warm gently in the microwave or slow cooker, stirring occasionally until smooth.
Freezer-Friendly
Freezing is not recommended because the cream cheese texture may become grainy after thawing.
