Homemade Buttermilk Waffles
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 3/4 cups buttermilk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat a waffle iron.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir.
- Add the buttermilk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter. Stir until well combined.
- Add 1/2 cup of the batter to the preheated waffle maker for a Belgian-style waffle or add 1/3 cup of the batter to the waffle maker for an American-style waffle. The amount of batter you use will vary based on the size of the waffle iron. Makes 6 in my waffle iron.
