Creamy Garlic Sauce

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt

  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice

Instructions

Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, and salt until smooth.
  1. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  1. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

  1. Mix gently with forks or your hands until just combined.
  1. Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape into patties.

  1. Finish with feta or provolone cheese and chopped kalamata olives.
  1. Serve immediately.

Jessica’s Notes

Best served with:

  • Greek salad, roasted potatoes, sweet potato fries, or cucumber salad.

Wine pairing:

  • A crisp Sauvignon Blanc, citrusy Assyrtiko, or a dry Rosé pairs beautifully with the lemon, garlic, and feta flavors.

Prep Ahead:

  • Burger patties can be formed up to 24 hours ahead and refrigerated.
  • Garlic sauce can be made up to 3 days in advance.

Storage:

  • Store cooked burgers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • Store sauce separately.

Freezer-friendly:

  • Uncooked patties can be frozen for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight before cooking.

Variations:

  • Use ground turkey instead of chicken.
  • Grill the burgers instead of cooking on the stovetop.

  • Serve in pita pockets for a more traditional Greek-style sandwich.
