- 1 cup (125 g) fine stone-ground yellow cornmeal
- 1 cup (125 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (240 ml) buttermilk, room temperature
- 8 tablespoons (113 g) unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- ¼ cup (50 g) granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries (do not thaw if frozen)

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F. Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners or lightly grease the cups.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the cornmeal, flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, melted butter, eggs, sugar, and honey until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir just until combined. Do not overmix.
- Gently fold in the cranberries.
- Divide the batter evenly among the prepared muffin cups, filling each about ⅔ full.
- Bake at 425°F for 5 minutes.
- Without opening the oven door, reduce the oven temperature to 350°F and continue baking for 16–18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the muffins cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
